NO BULLSHIT, NO MMA AND NO PUTTING ANYBODY OVER!!!!

On 7.06.06 I posted the following...

---CCW has canceled this upcoming Saturday’s show in Savannah,TN.  The web site is
also down.  I am assuming that Creasy has decided to close down the promotion.  I have
e-mailed him, but have not received any comments.

Steve Creasy responded on 7.17.06 the following...

----I received the following just moments ago.

Brian,
CCW "Chaotic Championship Wrestling" is no longer in business. CCW was fun for
awhile but no more. All sponsorship money was returned to the sponsor by means of
certified USPS mail, which I along with my Attorney can prove. I'm completely finished with
the pro-wrestling business. I will not be responding to any further questions about
pro-wrestling whatsoever. I wish you the very best with your website.

Stephen

Goodbye CCW

----I spoke with Teresa Franks at the Cashmaster E - 1125 Wayne Rd Savannah, TN
location this morning and she stated that they did receive their sponsorship money back
on Saturday.  She also stated that Cashmaster had at the least paid $200 in advertising
and she was not sure whether they would get that back or not.

----Steve Creasy bought Chaotic Championship Wrestling from me [and my ex-wife
Stephanie] in the late summer of 2003 after I had decided to kill the promotion.  The
promotion was on the verge of the 2 year anniversary.  I was totally burned out and just
went through a series of events including my other partners stealing the CCW ring.
[another long story]  I was also going through a ton in my personal life, which lead to a
separation and divorce that started less than a month after I tired to kill CCW.

----Creasy and I had actually worked together promoting CCW before I sold it completely
to him.  Steve and I were not good partners.  I wrote the following in an article about the
death of CCW, “As for "Due to major discrepancies in CCW books" statement I made in
the last post, I want to expand on that.  Since many of you might read this as to saying
that Steve was stealing or something.  Here was the deal---Steve had a problem keeping
up with receipts and I never received but about 3 receipts in the last 5 months.  That
drove me crazy!!  I could not continue doing business like that and Steve knew that I was
at the end my road when it came to promoting CCW.  He sent me an e-mail to state that
we needed to end the partnership as of May 17 and I sent back a letter saying, no..it is
over now.  Then we started working out negotiations on the ring and such.  All and all it
has been a civil breakup compared to what others wanted or what others have said.
Steve and I continue to do business day to day with the former CCW wrestling ring and
other things.”

----Creasy may have promoted longer than the original CCW, but his version probably
did not promote as many shows.  He was in and out of the business more than anyone
that I have ever dealt with.  And, in truth, this might just be one of his sabbaticals.  He
also went thru bookers and I know at least one more partner.  Nathan Lee, me, Neil
Taylor, and Dutch Mantell [listed as booker, but I don’t think he ever booked any shows]
all tried to book the shows.  Creasy had contacted me once about booking shows again
and when I sent him my plan, which was three months worth of bookings, Creasy sent
back a letter saying he was taking time off again.

----He had partnered with Daryl Bruff from Jackson, TN at one time and Nathan Lee was
booking.  They had some minor success with that version and drew a good show in
Finger, TN using Motley Cruz/Tasha Simone.  Creasy pulled his guarantees from
Cruz/Simone and then his reputation became more and more questionable.  He had also
somehow loaned the original ring to Manny Fernandez and said Manny was paying him
rent on it.  Many of the workers thought he had sold it or Fernandez took it for a payoff.

----With that all said and done, He drew one of his biggest crowds in  Selmer, TN in
November of 2004 for show that featured “Buff” Bagwell [which I managed CCW Mid-
Southern Champion “The Golden Boy” Greg Anthony vs him].  As late as February of
this year, I think he drew the biggest gate of the company’s history in the $3,500 range
for Jerry Lawler vs Neil Taylor in Parsons, TN.  Even with that gate, there were guys that
did not get paid on that show.

----The company lasted a little over 5 years total and I hope it has seen the final day of
shows.  In truth, neither one of us were good wrestling promoters.  The goal is to make
money.  Neither of us did that. Even though Creasy did have the best gates in the
history, I always felt that his vision of CCW was not my CCW.  I was not the only one as
many of the original members would not work for Creasy. Creasy was not good with the
money as when we worked together he actually had more spent on concession than I
had brought in for the gate one night.  He was more worried about buying popcorn
poppers; hot dog machines; giving away money and doing Diva contests than the actual
product.

----Goodbye CCW.  You brought me happiness; a ton of problems and sometimes total
embarrassment. I really hope you are dead and gone this time.
